Stolen at birth, adoptee sues Chile over thousands of babies in trafficking crimes

 

A Chilean-American adoptee raised in the United States filed a criminal complaint against Chile on July 1, 2024, alleging the country engaged in a systematic plan to steal thousands of babies from perceived enemies of the state in the 1970s and 1980s.
